Covey
Covey exists to nurture a self-directed, nature-connected, sociocratic learning community. We create an ever-evolving, intentional culture where every voice matters. We support children, youth, and adults in exploring their interests, growth, and connection. Young people are trusted to follow their curiosity, to make meaningful choices that respect both self and community, and to grow together in a culture of care, consent, freedom, and shared responsibility.
Monday program: Ages 0-18. Outdoors from 10-3 in the ABQ foothills or Tijeras. The day is child-led; popular choices include adventuring, movement games, crafting, board games, nature exploration, and free play. Half-days available. Caregivers can stay or drop-off, and can barter facilitator hours.
Outdoor Skills class: A 2-hour class for ages 10+ every other Thursday 12:15-2:15 in the Cedar Crest area (East Mountains). Fire-making, knife skills, navigation, shelter building, foraging, bushcraft, survival skills, and more.
We are actively growing - check out our website for updates! We are committed to values of inclusion & equity. At least 1/3 of our families are on financial aid.
