Debbie Brickman, Finance Manager at S.A.F.E. House, an intimate partner domestic violence shelter, will receive the Advocacy in Action (AIA) Service Award. This award is presented by the New Mexico Crime Victims Reparation Commission (CVRC) at their 22nd Annual Conference.
The AIA award recognizes individuals whose work has been particularly noteworthy, and exemplifies commitment that characterizes many of the state’s victim service providers. It also identifies individuals who champion the efforts to advance or enforce crime victims’ rights throughout New Mexico.
Mrs. Brickman received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting, has 28 years in accounting related positions and has been the Finance Manager at S.A.F.E. House for over 12 years.
S.A.F.E. House’s mission is to shelter and empower survivors of intimate partner domestic violence. Their vision is to live together in a community where any form of domestic violence is unacceptable. Over 1,000 families go through their doors annually. S.A.F.E. House provides programming aimed at healing the wounds, and breaking the cycle of intimate partner domestic violence, and improving the lives of families in our community.
