Nonprofits working on community-wide initiatives or collaboratives are invited to apply for funding through the Community Building Initiatives Committee of United Way of Central New Mexico (UWCNM).
The Committee has very limited funds available to award in FY 2014-15 for community-wide initiatives that support systemic change efforts or multi-partner programs that align with UWCNM's work in Education, Health, or Self-Sufficiency.
What Are the Requirements?
The Requesting Entity:
- Cannot also receive or apply for a Community Fund or Affinity Group Initiative grant
- Must have a local volunteer board or advisory committee
- Must conduct the collaborative or system-change activities in one or more central New Mexico counties
- Must have adequate data and goal tracking and reporting capabilities and significant, relevant partners who can contribute to key data reporting
The Collaboration:
- Must have goals that are measurable and aligned with UWCNM’s goals in the area of Education, Health, or Self-Sufficiency
- Must serve an area or population that is not served or is under-served by other community-wide efforts
How Do We Apply?
Interested collaborations can submit the following to Jen Mastripolito at [email protected] no later than 4:00 PM, Friday, March 27, 2015.
- Description of the work to be funded, including whether it is a one-time project or part of on-going productive collaborative work
- Description of how and when the requested funding will be used within the collaborative work
- List of other entities within the collaboration
- Description of how the work relates to some significant part of UWCNM’s work in the community
- A budget that includes the funding request and other proven and reasonably expected funding sources
