Five New Mexico MainStreet Programs Receive National Recognition

Recently the Artesia, Carlsbad, Los Alamos, Lovington and Silver City MainStreet programs for receiving recognition from the National Main Street Center for their achievements during the 2013 calendar year.

Accreditation by the National MainStreet Center recognizes achievement for high performing MainStreet programs. National accreditation is a prestigious designation and an important benchmark that recognizes the success of local MainStreet affiliates.

Local MainStreet affiliates are evaluated annually by New Mexico MainStreet. The national accreditation process evaluates local Main Street programs according to a set of performance standards and provides national recognition to those that meet these standards. While every designated local Main Street program can work toward accreditation, not every Main Street program receives it.
