October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Haven House will hold two Purple Ribbon Initiative Events in Rio Rancho in honor of survivors and in memory of victims of domestic violence.
Mayor’s Barbecue
Haynes Park on Thursday, October 13th at 5:30pm-7:30pm
This is a fun family picnic with music and entertainment, a silent auction, door prizes and other surprises.
Children’s Fun Run/Walk/Play
Lincoln Middle School on Saturday, October 22th at 9:30am-11:30am
We will have a 1K fun run, obstacle course, children’s entertainment, fun activities, a local DJ and prizes.
You will also see purple ribbons tied around the light poles in Rio Rancho along Routes 528 and 550 to commemorate National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Haven House is the only Domestic Violence Shelter and service provider in Sandoval County and serves clients from all surrounding areas. We provide services and shelter to the most vulnerable victims of domestic violence.
