Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Under general supervision by Clinical Director, therapists at RCCCNM provide professional therapy for survivors of sexual violence, including sexual assault, abuse, and incest, and for others impacted by these issues. Therapists provide case coordination and advocacy for survivors by interfacing with various systems including employers, legal/court system, family/friends, medical, schools, etc.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy for anyone impacted by sexual violence. Sustain manageable client caseload utilizing a trauma-informed and culturally competent framework. Conduct intake assessments, treatment planning, and coordination of care. Maintain professional documentation and record keeping for client files. Respect and maintain a high standard of confidentiality for all clients and cases. Participate in supervision and weekly clinical. Participate in on-call rotation.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Master’s degree and New Mexico licensure in Counseling (LPCC, LMHC), Art Therapy (LPAT), Social Work (LMSW, LCSW), or related discipline. Experience working with survivors of sexual assault and abuse. Maintenance of licensure and continuing education per RCCCNM needs and professional standards.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• Applicants must complete the RCCCNM 40-hour Advocate Training and additional trainings required by funders.
