Food Operations Coordinator

Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Full-time; Tues–Fri, 7am-3pm; Sat 7am-1pm (periodic early morning and additional weekend days).
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Reports directly to and supports Operations Director in food pantry duties: food sourcing, volunteer support/training/recruitment/scheduling, food procurement, truck unloading, pantry stocking, storage, inventorying, data entry, food distribution prep, food distribution, facility/equipment maintenance, safe handling of food, and facility maintenance.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Serve as food pantry staff/volunteer lead in Operations Director’s absence.
Ensure welcoming & uplifting environment.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with food donors, including donor grocery store visits as needed.
Complete weekly/as-needed food pickup routes in company vehicle (medium duty box truck, pickup truck, or large van); pickups may require a start as early as 5:30 AM at times.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bilingual in English and Spanish - must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English and Spanish.
Ability to drive medium-duty box truck, large van, pickup truck (must have a good driving record and valid driver’s license, Commercial Driver’s License NOT required).
At least 2 years of experience related to the essential functions of the position.
Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, effectively prioritize and manage time and workload, and collaborate and communicate effectively.
