Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Job Summary: Deliver high-quality, mission-driven, hands-on environmental education programs to students in grades pre-K-12 from northern New Mexico, specifically Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe, and Sandoval Counties.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Teach PEEC education programs for grades pre-K to 12, including classroom lessons and field trips
Lead outreach education programs on a variety of topics, including sustainability and resource conservation
Teach out-of-school-time programs, such as after-school clubs, summer camps, birthday parties, scouting badges, private visits, and summer camp groups

Other Information/Requirements: 

Required Qualifications:
Experienced in teaching, designing, and implementing programs for grades pre-K to 12

Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of experience in environmental education, natural science, outdoor recreation, education, or related field or degreed from an accredited college/university in these areas
Experienced in working with diverse communities of learners
Connected to northern New Mexico communities in PEEC’s service area, including Española Valley and northern New Mexico Pueblos
