Main Areas of Responsibility: 

This full-time role oversees our nonprofit arts organization's financial and administrative operations, ensuring fiscal health, regulatory compliance, and alignment with strategic and operational goals. The Director of Finance is key in guiding the organization toward sustainable growth and financial stability. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position collaborates closely with senior leadership and the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

•Oversee annual operating budget.
•Prepare internal and external financial reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual).
•Coordinate grant-related financial reporting and budget preparation.
•Oversee completion of annual audits and maintain corporate records (bylaws, resolutions, minutes, policies, licenses).
•Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax filings and requirements.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Preferred Qualifications:
•Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
•Eight years+ of experience in nonprofit accounting or general business experience, preferably in the performing arts.
•CPA or CMA credentials.
•Bilingual (English/Spanish).
•Familiarity with federal and foundation grant management.
•Experience with capital campaigns.
•Expertise in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office applications.
•Expertise with payroll management and employee relations.
