Main Areas of Responsibility: 

This position provides leadership to the department and supports and executes annual fundraising and stewardship goals. Supervision of the Development Manager and Outreach Coordinator; works with marketing and communication contractors, service providers, and other partners; provides reporting and data management; evaluates and executes development plan; assists with Strategic Planning; works collaboratively across all departments.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Evaluate, design, implement, and manage Development Plan. Focus on the Annual Fund, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, and key events. Fundraising and Stewardship; retains, maintains, and cultivates relationships with all public and private donors. Works with marketing and communications contractors, service providers, and other partners. Reporting & Data Management. Board Relations.
Other duties as assigned.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree and/or three-five years of professional fundraising experience.
Adherence to highest ethical practices in fundraising & money management.
Experience in direct asks resulting in major gifts and multi-year pledges, donor cultivation.
Computer literate, able to learn & use Bloomerang. Familiar with database entry and CRM maintenance.
Must like dogs and people.

Salary Range: 
60,000-70,000 depending on experience, bonus possibility
