Building Your Fundraising Confidence from the Ground Up!

This two hour interactive workshop will take you through a process that will build your confidence in fundraising from whatever position you hold within your nonprofit.  You will gain momentum in fundraising with every stakeholder, from staff to board members to the constituents who benefit from the nonprofit.

Learning Objectives

Through exercises meant to elicit breakthroughs in confidence building, participants will:
- Understand how everyone can be an excellent fundraiser and how everyone can be an excellent contributor to their cause
- Understand philanthropic principles, especially principles on stewardship and recognition

Handouts will be provided that demonstrate and remind you about ways to build your confidence, provide facts about the macro and micro philanthropy environment in the U.S. and New Mexico, and demonstrate ways to recognize stakeholders that will continue to delight them.

Presenter
Lynn Trojahn is Vice President of Advancement for Accion New Mexico - Arizona - Colorado.  She has worked with Accion since February 2005, where she has supported raising over $24 million for operational, endowment, lending, and building capital. Lynn has been distinguished as a Power Broker and in 2010 a Rainmaker as part of the Power Broker list, a Woman of Influence, an Up and Comer and in the 40 Under 40 groups through the New Mexico Business Weekly.  In April 2012, Lynn received the New Mexico Financial Services Champion of the Year through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for Region VI.
