Drawing the Line Between Board and Staff Roles 2011

Registration is closed for this event

Perhaps one of the most difficult nonprofit relationships to balance is that between the Board and the Executive Director.  Unclear roles can lead to confusion, miscommunication, resentment, and a lack of common direction.  This fast paced practical seminar will discuss the key roles of Board and Executive Director, share common pitfalls to avoid and end with an interactive "test" of knowledge that can be used to open conversations back at the office.

Learning Objectives:

- Review the key roles of Board and Staff in Planning, HR, Resource Development, Governance and Management
- Understand the guidelines for determining areas of responsibility
