Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Working Classroom is a non profit dedicated to preparing young people for creative careers and increasing representation of artists of color at a local and national level. Along with supporting students artistically, we also offer academic tutoring as part of every workshop. We need MATH TUTORS to aid our students with high school math and support them in improving their math grades. You can commit 1 hour for one or more days a week.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

You will be making a direct difference for a young person's life! In 2014, Albuquerque’s traditional public schools lost 40% of their economically disadvantaged students to dropout. Just 60% of all Native American students graduated. Hispanic and African American students fared almost as poorly: 33.2% and 37.5% of these students, respectively, dropped out before graduation.
