Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Through a variety of volunteer projects and special events, the Teen Ambassadors’ goal is to raise awareness of and interest in Ronald McDonald House Charities of New Mexico and its programs in the community.

Teen Ambassadors are a very special group of high school students who have an interest not only in helping Ronald McDonald House Charities of New Mexico, but in improving their community. 

As a Teen Ambassador, students will have the opportunity to participate in various events and activities throughout the year as part of this truly unique experience. 

Involvement may include:
• Providing meals for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House
• Creating a fun activities for children and their families
• Organizing donation drives for needed supplies
• Promoting awareness of Ronald McDonald House Charities of New Mexico and its purpose!

The Teen Ambassadors meet one Sunday a month at the Ronald McDonald House in Albuquerque.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

Many families travel far from home to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children. And, for children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems scarier than not having a parent close by for love and support. Ronald McDonald House Charities of New Mexico provides a home-away-from-home for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child.
