Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:

Join us as we plan our first "Home Is Where The Art Is" Silent Auction Event, which will benefit homeless children and youth in New Mexico. Proceeds from the auction will support programs that provide shelter, housing and services to homeless children and youth. Proceeds will also support our advocacy to protect the rights of children and youth experiencing homelessness and to increase funding for proven solutions to homelessness.

Our Silent Auction will take place in Spring 2018 and will feature artwork that explores the question of "What makes the place we live feel like home?" Our Planning Committee will meet monthly until the event (we'll work with volunteers to establish a regular meeting date & time that works for everyone).

We need volunteers to help with picking up/organizing donated art, publicizing the event, recruiting artists, engaging local schools, securing sponsorships, organizing event logistics, arranging food and entertainment and setting up for the event.
