Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

We advocate for children who’ve been abused or neglected by empowering community volunteers to speak up for them in the foster care system. Ensuring that every child grows up in a safe, nurturing and permanent home.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

You will help a child in need. There are over 300 cases in Bernalillo County that need an Advocate to be their voice.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

4-5 weeks of training for the role of a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). Support and guidance from the staff. We will be sure to provide any materials you may need to do your part effectively.

Additional Requirements: 

At least 20 hours a month of your time is required.
