Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

NAMI New Mexico is seeking talented individuals who share our mission of enhancing the lives of people with mental health conditions and their families through support, education, and advocacy. Our governing board is made up of interested community members alongside individuals with lived experience with mental health conditions, either as those directly impacted or family members. We are in particular need of folks with a background in marketing, accounting, HR, volunteer recruitment, or leadership development. Our organization is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we welcome applicants from all racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds along with members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

NAMI New Mexico's local affiliates offer support and education to New Mexicans in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, San Juan County, and Southern New Mexico. NAMI New Mexico is also active in legislative advocacy at the state level and partners with agencies and lawmakers to help people with mental health conditions and their families build better lives.
