Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:

Our mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally-supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships with measurable impact. In northern New Mexico, where half of our children graduate from high school, Big Brothers Big Sisters provides a vital opportunity to our most vulnerable neighbors. Having a “Big” mentor & friend in their lives allows children to envision their futures in a new & positive light.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Mountain Region has Community & School Based programs. Both require a 1 year commitment. For Community Based, you meet with your Little 2-4 times a month and spend a total of 6-8 hours together. For School Based, you meet with your Little weekly during their lunch period at their school.

Whether as volunteer, donor, or advocate, we would love to engage you with our programs at whatever capacity is appropriate for you. You can be sure it will strengthen the fabric of our whole community in the process.
