Mission Statement:
Asian American Association of New Mexico promotes and preserves the diverse cultural customs and heritage of the Asian communities in New Mexico. We contribute to the better social well-being and economic progress of Asian communities in New Mexico.
Primary Programs:
Presently the Asian American Association of New Mexico has members from eleven Asian American communities:
Cambodian, Chinese, Filipino, Indian (East Asia), Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Laos, Nepali, Thai, and Vietnamese.
Our activities have include Annual Festival of Asian Cultures during Asian Heritage Month every May, and hosting Asian American Day at the State Legislature every two years.
