Polyphony: Voices of New Mexico
Polyphony: Voices of New Mexico (PVNM) is a vocal ensemble that brings audiences both traditional choral repertoire and new music from New Mexico composers, performed by the finest vocalists resident in New Mexico, showing New Mexico as a home for musical excellence in composition and performance.
We do public concerts in historic locations (such as the Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, and the Old San Ysidro Church in Corrales), in winter and summer.
We provide opportunities for vocalists resident in New Mexico, and enable New Mexico composers to show off their work.
We strive to disseminate New Mexican music outside the state, and to raise awareness of New Mexican composers and performers in a way that can improve their professional opportunities.
We work with local secondary schools to expose students to the classical choral repertoire.
We also perform for retirement communities.
