Mission Statement:

The mission of the Albuquerque Rose Society is to celebrate and promote our National Flower by providing educational opportunities to increase the public's knowledge of and appreciation of the rose.

Primary Programs:

The Albuquerque Rose Society presents rose horticulture information at each monthly meeting from September through May. We manage and maintain the Albuquerque Rose Garden that surrounds the Tony Hillerman Library at 8205 Apache Ave. NE.

The rose garden, made up of 1200 roses, is where we demonstrate pruning, planting and maintenance techniques. Our Consulting Rosarians are available to answer rose horticulture questions throughout the year.

- Annual Pruning Demonstrations are held 3 weekends in March.

- Planting, feeding, watering and maintenance activities are open to the puplic at no charge from May through October.

There is no charge for any events or entry to the garden.

- All Albuquerque Rose Society members are volunteers, there are no paid positions.

- All maintenance expenses are paid for with donations.
