Americans for Indian Opportunity advances, from an Indigenous worldview, the cultural, political and economic rights of Indigenous peoples in the United States and around the world.

 AIO draws upon a set of core cultural values (the 4 R’s: Relationships, Responsibility, Reciprocity and Redistribution) to:
 
Promote values-based leadership through the American Indian Ambassadors Program, an award winning leadership development initiative for emerging Native American leaders from across the United States.
 
Convene leaders and Inspire community-driven solutions with the proprietary Indigenous Leaders Interactive System, which addresses the underlying causes of issues affecting Native communities.
 
Share insight into modern tribal governance and contemporary Native peoples through Indian 101 cultural competency training.
 
Weave an international network of Indigenous leaders and activists, and maintain a database of over 6000 individuals and organizations focused on Indigenous issues.
