Mission Statement:

The Rio Abajo Community Library’s goals are to provide the educational, intellectual, cultural and informational needs of this rural community, which encompasses all 14 rural villages in northern Socorro County, New Mexico.

Primary Programs:

Basic library services in addition to:
• Copy/faxing services,
• Internet and computer services and training,
• Notary services,
• Networking/informational exchanges,
• Facilitation of governmental services with community entities,
• Publication of monthly community newsletter,
• Development and execution of programs promoting cultural interests/development, scholastic achievement, and remedial education, and
• Coordinating workshops and training regarding rural interests and economic development with other institutions (i.e., University of New Mexico, New Mexico Institute, etc.)
