Mesilla Valley Community of Hope
Mesilla Valley Community of Hope is an alliance of agencies that addresses homelessness and poverty in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
The mission is to provide and operate a single facility for alliance agencies that will enhance efficiency and provide for the delivery of services in an effective manner.
Mesilla Valley Community of Hope operates a day-time drop in center for people who are homeless and near homeless. These services include: showers, laundry, mail, voice mail, phone, lockers, case management, training programs, and donated goods, including clothing, shoes, hygiene products and household goods. MVCH also has various housing programs including transitional and permanent housing for people who are homeless.
Our hours of operation are Mon - Thu 8 am - 5 pm, Fridays 8 am - 4 pm. We close from 11:15 to 12:15 for lunch. We are closed most federal holidays. Mesilla Valley Community of Hope also operates Fairlight Community Gardens, which is a 1/4 acre fruit and vegetable garden and orchard with plots available to people who low-income or homeless.
The alliance agencies on the campus at Mesilla Valley Community of Hope include El Caldito Soup Kitchen, Casa de Peregrions Food Bank, St. Luke's Health Care Clinic and Jardin de los Ninos Day Care Center. Each of these agencies are separate non-profit organizations.
