Mission Statement:

Santa Fe Conservation Trust partners with our community to keep northern New Mexico’s living lands and people flourishing together. We protect culturally and environmentally significant landscapes, ignite people’s passion for nature and enable the continual regeneration of our healthy place.

Primary Programs:

Land: Protecting Important Natural Areas
The Santa Fe Conservation Trust is a qualified New Mexico land trust. We work with you every step of the way to ensure the easement donation process moves smoothly and your goals and needs are met.

Trails: Preserving the trails that connect our communities
The Santa Fe Conservation Trust in partnership with the City of Santa Fe and Santa Fe County engage volunteers — individuals, clubs, schools, businesses, and non-profits — as stewards of the trails that make our community an outstanding place to live and to visit.

Other Programs:

Community Programs
Dark Skies
Our Dark Skies program, educating the community about the importance of the connection between land and sky conservation. Hundreds of people in the community have participated in our educational Star Party events, celebrating land conservation in the New Mexico and the importance of Dark Skies for future generations.

Passport to Trails
We have led field trips that have reached thousands of participants, including school kids from Santa Fe’s south side schools. Our work with kids helps us create the next generation of conservationists. If people don’t grow up caring about the land, they will not fight to protect it.

Vámonos
Santa Fe has many options for in-town walks. And VÁMONOS offers a couple of walks a week that you can join in on. Get to know Santa Fe’s beautiful parks and trails, and meet others who like to walk by joining us on a free VÁMONOS walk.
