Mission Statement:

New Mexico Wildlife Center works to conserve and restore native wildlife and their habitats through action-oriented education, promotion of public awareness, strategic partnerships, and responsible wildlife rehabilitation.

Primary Programs:

Wildlife Rehabilitation - NMWC's wildlife hospital cares for up to 1,000 animals a year, ranging from songbirds to eagles and rabbits to mountain lions.

Conservation Education - NMWC provides interactive, hands-on education programs to local schools, camps, adults and groups.

Science - NMWC is involved in several different research and conservation programs including golden eagle tracking, wetlands restoration and nest box monitoring.

Other Programs:

NMWC also provides wildlife presentations to local schools and the community using our 30+ non-releasable educational animals. A "Wild Walk" tour of these animals is open to the public.
