Mission Statement:
To strategically accelerate research toward treatment and a cure for spinal muscular atrophy, a deadly crippler and the number-one inherited genetic cause of infant death.
Primary Programs:
Support and networking for families afflicted with SMA in the form of education and how to obtain services.
Billboards to spread awareness.
National and State Conferences where we meet with researchers from all over the world to obtain current research updates.
Lobbing efforts the past 5 years in the US Congress.
Fundraisers like: Golf Tournaments, raffles, Bingo, 5K runs.
Talks at Churches about SMA.
Our plan is to create some pamphlets to leave in local hospitals to spread awareness to the public about SMA.
