Partners in Education Foundation for the Santa Fe Public Schools

Teacher Grants - For 24 years, Partners has given grants to teachers for innovative, creative, curriculum-based classroom projects that the school district can’t afford to fund.

Field Trips - Partners funds buses for educational field trips in and around Santa Fe.

ArtWorks - The ArtWorks program serves 1,800 students and 80 teachers each year with artist-led workshops in poetry, dance, theater, music and visual art.s

Teacher Warehouse - Partners’ 1,000-square-foot Teacher Warehouse contains binders, books, desks, markers, paper and hundreds of other items in good usable condition. Items are donated by businesses and individuals, and teachers are able to come and “shop” for free two afternoons a week during the school year.

Teacher Opportunity Scholarships - Partners gives out scholarships of up to $500 to school employees who are continuing their education to become certified teachers or to advance in the teaching profession. Priority is given to educational assistants who are becoming certified teachers with bilingual or special education endorsements.

Teachers Who Inspire Awards - Seven teachers nominated by their peers are honored annually for their inspirational qualities in the classroom, among their colleagues and in the community. Each teacher receives an award of $1,000. One award of $500 is given to a teacher with less than three years’ experience.

Endowment - Partners is raising an endowment that will provide a permanent source of funding to support excellence in the Santa Fe Public Schools.
