Taos Jewish Center
The Taos Jewish Center is dedicated to fostering a positive Jewish identity by providing programs and services that enrich the lives of the people it serves in Northern New Mexico.
Activities at the Jewish Center include cultural, secular and religious programs that appeal to our diverse Jewish community and friends.
Cultural programs include hikes, brunches, musical concerts, plays, a Book Club, political discussions and films. We produce a quarterly newsletter which is also available on our website.
Religious programs include Jewish education for children and adults, holiday celebrations, study sessions with rabbis from all Jewish traditions, Shabbat services and Torah study and interfaith gatherings such as Peace Chanukah.
The Taos Jewish Center also oversees the non-denominational Chesed Project for seniors, with a weekly Rosen Method Exercise Class with a Resource Library that provides education and information on age related issues.
TJC volunteers prepare and deliver a several course meal to the Men’s Homeless Shelter each month and collect and deliver food to the Shared Table, which distributes it to those in need.
