The Sierra Club hosts free hikes and other events almost every weekend that are open to the public. See riograndesierraclub.org/events. We have a successful record of advocating for better environmental policy, including creation and protection of New Mexico's Renewable Energy Act, the campaign to end trapping on public lands in New Mexico, and efforts to push PNM and other utilities to transition away from polluting coal and natural gas and adopt significantly more renewable energy.
