CLNKids (Cuidando los Ninos)
•Provide high quality early childhood development & therapeutic services that meet the special needs of children experiencing homelessness
•Support services that assist families to become rehoused & stronger
•Be a community leader & advocate for social change to break the cycle of homelessness
CLNkids (formerly Cuidando Los Niños) offers 2 primary programs that work collaboratively in order to achieve our goal of ending family homelessness in the Albuquerque area:
•Early Childhood Development Program
•Family Support Program
At CLNkids, the whole family is supported. By using an all-encompassing, strength-based approach to work with children and families experiencing homelessness, CLNkids provides an opportunity for families to grow, learn, and become self-sufficient and successful.
CLNkids delivers support for clients to address a variety of needs that are unique to each family, such as housing, education, and health needs.
Families are typically enrolled for one year, during which time the Family Support Specialists and parents develop a transition plan in preparation for transition out of CLNkids. In order to successfully address the causes of homelessness and affect positive change for the families that we serve, we use a “whole family” approach. By providing high-quality early childhood development and a range of family support services, CLNkids creates a setting that supports the development of individual and family strengths.
