New Mexico Veterans Integration Centers
To respond to the needs of veterans, with focus on those who are homeless or experiencing a housing crisis, through the provision of quality employment training, housing and supportive services based on a Continuum of Care
The Transitional Housing (TH): The VA's Homeless Providers Grant and Per Diem Program is offered annually (as funding permits) by the Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) Programs to fund community agencies providing services to homeless Veterans. The purpose is to promote the development and provision of supportive housing and/or supportive services with the goal of helping homeless Veterans achieve residential stability, increase their skill levels and/or income, and obtain greater self-determination.
Services Available:
• Clothing
• Case Management
• Food Baskets
• Daily Living Skills (Budgeting, Job Searches, Grooming, Finding Permanent Housing, Driver’s License/Bus Schedules, Referral Services)
• Transportation to VA/Appointments, Shopping, and Events
• Training & Employment
