Mission Statement:

The Muscular Dystrophy Association is dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy,and other neuromuscular diseases. MDA provides funds for research, family services and helpful information to adults and children affected by neuromuscular diseases.

Primary Programs:

MDA hosts two support groups in Albuquerque each month; one ALS and one general support group.MDA financially supports six clinics at UNM; two adult clinics, one ALS clinic, one OPMD clinic and two pediatrics clinics. MDA runs an annual Summer Camp, The Camp With No Boundaries. In 2014, the camp expects to host over 30 campers for 6 days. MDA has a loan closet where clients receive durable medical equiptment. MDA also provides servicing to durable medical equipment.
