Volunteers Making it Happen

Thanks to the efforts of the Planned Parenthood of New Mexico volunteer team, over 350 people enjoyed the annual Beer & Bands for Better Sex Ed concert fundraiser at Tractor Brewing Company in Wells Park.

Beer & Bands for Better Sex Ed would not have been possible without our dedicated volunteers. A seven person volunteer committee worked hard for 6 months planning the event. They secured the entertainment, solicited sponsorships and raffle prizes, and helped with publicity.

During the event itself, 24 enthusiastic volunteers worked hard to make everything run smoothly by operating the front entrance, selling raffle tickets, and managing the stage. These volunteers were both longtime Planned Parenthood of New Mexico volunteers and new recruits who found us through the Center for Nonprofit Excellence. We logged over 200 volunteer hours before and during this event, and we are so thankful to everyone who helped make Beer & Bands a success!
