U.S. Eagle Asks Community to Help Allocate $22,500 to Local Nonprofits

U.S. Eagle Federal Credit Union is asking the community to help allocate a total of $22,500 to nine local nonprofits in the Albuquerque Metro Area, San Juan County and Santa Fe County as part of their Giving Tuesday Campaign: Collective Spark.

In October, U.S. Eagle members nominated their favorite nonprofit organizations within the three communities. With over 700 submissions, the top five charities with the most nominations in each market area were selected for the final round, when members of the community can vote for the top three winners.

Voting through the website www.collectivespark.vote is open from November 7 to November 28. The nominee organizations in the running for the donations are:

Albuquerque
• Casa Q
• CLN Kids
• Girls on the run Rio Grande
• New Mexico Animal Humane
• SAFE House

San Juan County
• Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico
• Child Haven
• ECHO – Economic Council Helping Others, Inc.
• Hustle Kindness
• San Juan County Partnership

Santa Fe County
• New Mexico Acequia Association
• New Mexico Alzheimer Society
• New Mexico Autism Society
• Santa Fe Humane Society and Animal Shelter
• Wings of America

Donations will be broken down into: 1st Prize: $5,000, 2nd Prize: $2,000 and 3rd Prize: $500 in each market area.

“We’re deeply committed to giving back to the communities we serve – whether that’s in the form of providing financial education, volunteering or gifting monetary donations,” says Marsha Majors, CEO and President. “We’re proud to pay it forward this holiday season to the organizations that are near and dear to not only our heart, but to our member’s hearts.”
