Free to Families Who Make $54,000 or Less.
United Way of Central New Mexico offers free tax preparation through the Tax Help New Mexico program to families who make $54,000 per year or less and individuals age 65 and older regardless of income.
How It Works
Volunteer tax preparers are available at locations across the state to help you. All Tax Help New Mexico volunteers are certified by the IRS and are trained to help taxpayers identify tax credits they qualify for.
In just the past five years, Tax Help New Mexico has prepared tax returns for more than 104,000 families, like Theresa who needed updated taxes to apply for financial aid at the local community college.
Thank you Tax Help New Mexico. I had nowhere else to go and I was desperate to get some help. I had some issues with previously unfiled taxes and you were the only ones who ended up actually helping me out.”
