Translation Software Grant Meeting

You are invited to attend an Introduction to a ¡TradúceloAhora! presentation to be offered at the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, January 19th, at 10 am or at 2 pm.

The presentation will be hosted by SER-Jobs for Progress National, Inc.,  who is partnering with IBM Corporate Citizenship & Corporate Affairs to help schools and nonprofit organizations learn about the ¡TradúceloAhora! Automatic Translation Grant Program

This grant program uses a special, enhanced version of IBM WebSphere Translation Server software with added functionality and refined translation capacity to not only translate web sites from English to Spanish but also to translate emails from English to Spanish and vice versa.

This grant program focuses on K-12 students, their parents, teachers and administrators to enhance communication by translating web content and email bidirectionally English<=>Spanish).

So, an English-speaking teacher can send an email in English to a Spanish-speaking parent; the parent receives the email in English and then within minutes the translated email in Spanish; the parent responds in Spanish and the email is similarly translated into English for the teacher.

There are many other ways to use the software that you will learn about in the presentation.  More than 700 schools and nonprofit organizations in the United States and Latin America are using this software.

As part of this initiative, IBM is providing to eligible 501(c)(3) organizations access to this software via www.traduceloahora.org through a special grant.

The grant has a market value of $20,000 for each site, regardless of the number of users at your organization.

Selected organizations must serve primarily Spanish speakers or English Language Learners.

If your organization would like to be considered for a grant and would like to learn about the functionality of the software, we hope that you will join us at the Introduction to ¡TradúceloAhora!  presentation.

Please email Roland Ramirez at [email protected] or call (469) 549-3699 to confirm your attendance at the morning or the afternoon presentation.  Seating is limited so confirm your space today.  We very much look forward to your participation in this initiative.
