The Talent Academy Application Opens June 1st

The Talent Academy Cohort Application is Open

Last March, six fellows graduated from the fellowship with an intimate knowledge of grant writing, proposal development, and project management skills to garner funding for their respective organizations.

For this next round, we are looking for more of the same -- organizations looking to take that next step in scaling up capacity for grant seeking that will help them address their missions.  Will that be you?  Apply online beginning June 1 for the Talent Academy!

What is the Talent Academy?

The Talent Academy is a 6-month fellowship during which nonprofit professionals participate in weekly professional development seminars in which they learn the core responsibilities and skills of a highly-effective grant writer, including prospecting and research, writing and editing, proposal completeness and compliance, creating key attachments such as logic models and budgets, and compiling application packages. The learning is project-based and the intention is for nonprofit professionals to experience working in a rigorous, high-expectations grant seeking environment, on projects for their own organizations. It is an exciting opportunity for Fellows to learn from experienced professionals, with access to the knowledge base that The Grants Collective and its partner The Grant Plant have developed over 14 years. Fellows receive one-on-one technical assistance and peer support through the Fellowship cohort. At the end of the six months, the knowledge, systems, processes, and tools can be embedded into their organizations. Fellows will receive follow-up assistance as well as access to the cooperative network online platform and in-person learning events during their fellowship.

Interested organizations and individuals should apply before 5pm Tuesday, August 1, 2017 to be considered for the Talent Academy.  For more information, contact Robert Nelson at [email protected] today.
