UNM Hosts 3rd Annual Evaluation Workshop.
Every Spring, the UNM Evaluation Lab hosts a Workshop where community organization leaders join UNM students, faculty, and policy center researchers to share ideas, experiences and knowledge. The Workshop highlights innovative evaluation activities happening at member organizations and promotes evaluation practices that help organizations achieve their goals.
This year's Workshop, on Friday, April 27, emphasizes Evaluation as Core Practice. Evaluation can be much more than tracking program activities and collecting participant feedback. By integrating evaluation practice into planning and programming decisions, organizations become more intentional, strategic, and inspired in achieving their missions.
The keynote speaker is Henry Rael, Program Officer at McCune Charitable Foundation, who will present a radical new vision for evaluation practice. Students in the 2017-2018 Evaluation Lab will present projects conducted in collaboration with 7 New Mexico nonprofits during the academic year. Evaluation Lab staff will lead hands-on trainings for measuring what really matters and getting great feedback through interactive focus groups.
The event runs from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm in the UNM Student Union Building. Registration is $30 and includes lunch and parking. For more information, visit the Evaluation Lab or call: (505) 277-3548.
