Points of Light Brings Nonprofits, Business Together

Points of Light is partnering with Business4Better (B4B) to host a two-day conference and expo uniting nonprofits and business professionals in creating impactful social change. The conference, in Anaheim, Calif., May 1-2, 2013, is presented in collaboration with B Lab, Stanford Social Innovation Review and HandsOn Network Volunteer Action Center OneOC.

As part of the conference, B4B is hosting a free, nonprofit exposition spotlighting more than 200 innovative and creative nonprofits. Nonprofits interested in being a featured exhibitor should apply today through Oct. 30. This exposition is the perfect opportunity for both businesses and nonprofits to explore the potential for collaboration where resources, core competencies and values intersect.

Business4Better, with support from its partners, aims to create an environment for mid-sized businesses to gain the knowledge and expertise to make a substantive impact on societal causes in partnership with nonprofits.

"Points of Light believes that to create change, all parts of the community must work in concert. By bringing together nonprofits and corporations, we can leverage our greatest assets to create the greatest good. This convening is an excellent opportunity to share our expertise in using volunteers to tackle the nation's toughest problems," said Jackie Norris, executive director of Points of Light Corporate Institute.

Whether you are a nonprofit or business leader, B4B provides the perfect opportunity for all dimensions of the Points of Light community to engage. Want to get involved?
