The UNM Project PeacePal Student Group is thrilled to announce they’ve organized a 5k and 10k run/walk called “Pace for Peace.” This special event welcomes people of all ages to run or walk. The purpose of this run is to not only raise money for the Rural Girl Mentorship Program-Uganda, but to also increase awareness about the need for women empowerment worldwide. Our student group is partnered with Albuquerque's non-profit organization Project PeacePal.
Arrive early: Check-in will begin at the Hoffmantown Church parking lot at 1:15 pm. Start Times (tentative): 10k: 2:00 pm, 5k: 2:15 pm. The race itself will start near the intersection of Harper and Ventura.
Registration is currently open and will remain open until the afternoon of the race on April 6. The general entry fee is $20 per adult and $10 per child. All participants will receive a T-Shirt, a numbered bib and refreshments.
