Many of the funders that we talk to about grants and grant assessment are beginning to frame things in the words of organizational capacity. This is simultaneously a blueprint for the assessment of nonprofits and their proposals, and also a platform for nonprofits to organize themselves within the community of nonprofit groups. While this structure may not yet be a part of the rubric that your funders are using, but they are a great set of best-practices for any nonprofit group seeking to improve their internal efficiency or outward effectiveness.
