Notah Begay III Foundation’s (NB3F) Native Strong: Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures Announces New Grant Opportunity
NB3F’s Native Strong: Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures is offering a Request for Proposals (RFP) for their newest grant making initiative, Capacity Building Grants. The purpose of these grants will be to partner with Native communities to support:
1. Community Health Assessments to better understand the root causes of childhood obesity and type 2 diabetes resulting in strategies and an action plan to address this issue; or
2. Community Planning and Capacity Building to create a community-driven action plan to address childhood obesity and type 2 diabetes
The application deadline is December 16, 2013, at 5:00 pm (MST). Applications will be accepted from throughout the U.S. However, preference will be given to grantees from three specific regions – the Southwest (New Mexico, Arizona), the Upper Midwest (Minnesota, Wisconsin) and the Southern Plains (Oklahoma, Texas).
