The Samaritan Counseling Center’s New Mexico Ethics in Business Awards are now accepting nominations. The Center’s New Mexico Ethics in Business Awards are an annual recognition of for-profit businesses, not-for-profit organizations and individuals whose work in New Mexico demonstrates the highest ethical conduct and social responsibility.
Nominations for the 2014 event will be accepted until Friday, August 16th at 5:00 pm. A maximum of 30 nominees will be forwarded to UNM Anderson School of Management after careful analysis of all nominations by a volunteer Screening Committee. Following the screening process, business ethics students, led by Professor Sarah D. Smith, will research each nominee during the fall semester. A Selection Committee, a group of New Mexico business leaders, will meet to choose the recipients. The Samaritan Counseling Center’s New Mexico Ethics in Business Awards program began in 1999. By recognizing New Mexico companies, organizations and individuals who give leadership in ethical business practice, the Center continues to support a more ethical community while also raising funds for the Center’s Good Samaritan Fund which provides financially assisted counseling services to the community.
Samaritan Counseling Center of Albuquerque opened their doors in 1987 and continues to integrate medical and spiritual resources to help people in Central New Mexico find wholeness and healing. The Center provides professional psychological counseling, education and outreach programs in English and Spanish to individuals, families and children; including community members with low-to-moderate income.
