The Center for Nonprofit Excellence has partnered with the New Mexico chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals to provide additional CFRE courses to nonprofit staff and consultants during 2019.
What is CFRE?
The international Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) program sets a standard in philanthropy through a valid and reliable certification process for fundraising professionals. In order to become a CFRE, fundraising professionals must: (1) meet a set of education, professional practice, and professional performance criteria through a points-based system; and (2) pass an exam. CFREs must recertify every three years by demonstrating that they are maintaining the three aforementioned criteria through the points-based system. Thus, current CFREs and aspiring CFREs need ongoing access to professional development courses in order to accrue education points.
Upcoming Professional Development for Fundraisers
The Association of Fundraising Professionals- NM Chapter and the Center for Nonprofit Excellence have joined their efforts to increase the number of professional development courses for fundraising professionals that are approved for CFRE credit. AFP-NM is currently a CFRE approved provider and offers professional development opportunities on a monthly basis. More information, visit the AFP website.
The Center for Nonprofit Excellence will also provide CFRE credit for specific trainings throughout 2019. Check our training calendar to see upcoming courses.
