Race and Gender in the Nonprofit Sector.
The Building Movement Project (BMP) is hosting focus groups on leadership, race, and advancement in the nonprofit sector.
The Building Movement Project launched Race to Lead, a series of reports on their 2016 national survey of more than 4,000 staff and board members of nonprofit organizations from across the country. Building Movement Project will build on this research with two new reports, one focusing on race and gender in the non-profit sector and the other on non-profit CEOs. Though the survey has provided a wealth of data, numbers can only tell part of the story.
Building Movement Project is seeking focus group participation from staff and CEOs in the nonprofit sector. These focus groups will take place on Wednesday June 20th and Thursday June 21st from 8:30am-10:00am. Focus groups target women of color (all roles), white women (all roles), CEOs of color (all genders), and white CEOs (all genders). If you can attend and share your insights, please register for the focus group that best describes you and your interests here.
During the focus group, BMP will share some of the key findings from the survey and explore your insights and reactions to the data. A light breakfast will be served. Please feel free to share this invitation with nonprofit colleagues. Location information will be provided once you have RSVP’d. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to contact the Building Movement Project.
