Junior League of Albuquerque Funding Opportunity

To whom it may concern:

The Junior League of Albuquerque (JLA) is dedicated to improving our community and works to build partnerships with other organizations to improve the quality of life for Albuquerque residents. While we have a group of over 100 trained volunteers who are completing various small Done in a Day projects in the community, we realize that not all organizations have a need for this type of assistance. The JLA is pleased to announce that it will be distributing small grants through our Community Assistance Program to help fill this need.

These grants will be in amounts of less than $1000 and will be distributed this spring. We hope that by providing these grants, we are able to assist organizations in building on existing programs or in getting new programs started.

The criteria for the Community Assistance Program grants are as follows:
Ø The applicant must be a non-profit organization.
Ø The project should work in concert with our core objectives of enhancing the lives of women and children or our current five year focus to combat hunger in our community.
Ø Requests for fundraising, salaries, rent, and scholarships are not eligible.

Again, the JLA is hopeful that your organization will consider completing a Grant Request. For your convenience, you may also download the RFP form from our website (http://www.jlabq.org/) and return it by email to [email protected]. Submissions are requested by Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Finalists will be notified in early March.

Most importantly, thank you for the many ways you support our community. If you have questions, please contact Nikki Mulligan at 505.260.0199 (Junior League of Albuquerque office) or by e-mail at [email protected]. We look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Nikki Mulligan Abby Hanson
