February is right around the corner and so is the Cooperative Network!
The cooperative network is a peer member network to increase collaboration and share resources for high-performance grant seeking.
To be part of the network, you need to register. We’re offering a special, early adopter rate of $50, which will provide access to the Cooperative Network until March 1, 2017. After that, we’ll move to a standard rate of $50 per month, which will continue to provide access to all network events (at least three per month) and an online platform designed to make grant seeking more efficient and to foster collaboration among NM nonprofits. Sign up online or by contacting Robert Nelson.
What’s Coming Up
February 1, 2017 Brown Bag Luncheon
Our first event is our Brown Bag Luncheon, which will focus on demonstrating our online platform’s capabilities for members. Bring your lunch and we’ll walk through the platform and gather your feedback. We’ll gather at our office at 901 Rio Grande Blvd NW, Suite D-220 from 12pm to 1pm.
February 9, Thirsty Thursday
Our next social networking event will be at Ponderosa Brewing at 1761 Bellamah NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104!
Our special guest will be Terry Brunner, Chief Program Officer of Grow NM -- a new program housed at The Grants Collective! Grow NM will provide one-on-one technical assistance and project development to grow community capacity around transformational projects. Projects may include community centers, educational facilities, libraries, community redevelopment, health facilities, broadband, and other areas of interest. Terry is highly experienced in federal grant seeking and other funding strategies, as well as in community development and project management work.
This will be an informal event where you can join other grant writers and fundraisers, meet new people and ask questions, and learn about what is happening at each others organizations. Thirsty Thursday will begin at 4:30pm.
February 13, Reading Circle
Join us for our Reading Circle as we cover contemporary topics in grant writing, the nonprofit sector, leadership, work/life balance, and more! On this day, we’ll be covering what all of us at The Grant Plant has been reading over the last couple months.
We’ll meet at 11am at our office on Monday, February 13th. Sign up today and we’ll share our reading list.
February 22, Curbside Consulting
Ever needed more eyes on your current projects? Come down to our office for a free consultation and we’ll match you with expert advice to talk about your project needs. Consultations occur from 10am to 1pm at The Grants Collective’s office at 901 Rio Grande Blvd NW, Suite D-220.
The Online Platform
Yes, we are still developing the online platform, but the good news is, we’re almost there! We plan to launch imminently, so stay tuned as we’ll be alerting members as soon as possible. With the online platform you’ll be able to access upcoming grant opportunities from our online calendar, collaborate with others, and access resources that are all in one convenient site.
You’ll also be able to connect with other grant writers in our community and share resources and knowledge. We’d love your feedback once it launches and we’ll be working with the online provider to tweak the product as we move forward to make it most useful for everyone.
If you have questions, please contact Robert Nelson through email or call (505) 226-0171.
Look forward to seeing you at the next Cooperative Network event!
