Essential to any conversation on childcare is the perspective of education professionals along with parents and other stakeholders.
The New Mexico Early Childhood Development Partnership wants you to be part of this conversation! On behalf of the partnership you are invited to participate in a Childcare and Early Education Regional Forum in Farmington or Las Cruces.
A statewide task force has worked over the past five months to discuss policy barriers to childcare assistance in New Mexico. The process has been facilitated by New Mexico First. As a result of these discussions, task force members have proposed recommendations that could provide stability for children and families, impact childcare program effectiveness and support the childcare workforce.
The purpose of the forums are to:
- Share information on the task force recommendations
- Collect feedback on which reforms are most promising or raise concerns
- Use the feedback to inform potential legislation being developed by NMECDP
