There is still time to nominate an under 40 nonprofit leader for the American Express NGen Leadership Award.
The American Express NGen Leadership Award honors an under-40 nonprofit leader who has already made significant impact in addressing society’s critical needs. By recognizing the contributions of one transformative young leader, this award highlights both the promise and the contributions of emerging leaders across the nonprofit and philanthropic community.
To be eligible, a candidate must work for a U.S.-based nonprofit and have had a measurable impact within his or her field, beyond just one organization. Nominations will be accepted through Monday, June 14. Self-nomination is not admissible.
To receive the American Express NGen Leadership Award, an individual must:
• Illustrate a significant change in the condition, nature or character of their field, beyond just one organization. This impact should be specific, measurable, and raise standards with their field;
• Currently work for a U.S.-based nonprofit or non-governmental organization;
• Be age 40 or under at the time of receiving the award

The winner of the American Express NGen Leadership Award will be announced in late August, and will be recognized during the Independent Sector Annual Conference in Atlanta, October 20-22.
